XBT Holdings Sues BuzzFeed Over Publishing False “Information” About the Company

BuzzFeed has been sued by the Russia-tied tech firm, XBT Holdings, for publishing the company’s name with false allegations.

The defamation case is filed by the company against BuzzFeed and its editor Ben Smith.

The report says that the BuzzFeed had written about XBT Holdings that the company had been using botnets and porn traffic to transmit viruses, plant bugs, steal data against the Democratic Party in the last presidential elections.

The article also stated about the personal life of XBT’s owner, Alekej Gubarev.

As of now, a spokesperson from BuzzFeed has apologized for including the company’s name.
