The next day, Corden unveiled the trailer for his new Carpool Karaoke TV series. Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Metallica will all appear in the 16-part series for Apple Music, as will Will Smith, who is seen conducting a brass band from the sunroof of the car.

Love Actually stars Liam Neeson and Thomas Brodie-Sangster were seen recreating their famous scene from the 2003 film as they filmed its short sequel Red Nose Day Actually. The 10-minute film will reunite most of the original cast and be broadcast as part of the Comic Relief appeal on BBC One next month.

Also on the Comic Relief front – Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox announced she would be dancing to eighties music non-stop for 24 hours to raise money for the charity. She follows in the footsteps of Dermot O’Leary, who did the same thing (although with music released in all decades) in 2015.
