Overwatch Officially Passes 20 Million Registered Players

Overwatch Crosses Milestone Of 20 Million Players Since Release

During the Summer Games promotion, players could only earn the special skins by either outright buying loot boxes or by playing the game to earn them for free.

Lastly what would a brand new event be without more loot boxes? Since it is about Halloween, players should expect cool, spooky items including a new Halloween-themed game mode called Junkenstein Revenge.

It looks like the waiting game will finally be over as Blizzard is rumored to reveal the long teased character Sombra in popular shooter game “Overwatch”.

It is unclear when the Halloween update will be launched, however, many speculating it will be released Tuesday, October 11.

Halloween isn’t the only thing being celebrated by the game’s developers, as Overwatch has recently hit the 20 million player mark. At the end of each match, you’ll be one step closer to getting more terror-iffic skins, tag sprays, icons, emotes, highlight intros, victory poses, and so on.

It’s unclear though if Sombra will appear as part of the upcoming Overwatch Halloween update or if her new character will follow together with a new Brawl and a ton of loot boxes.

Spook season is a merely weeks away and there just may be something festive planned for players of Overwatch.

Overwatch is already out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

“Celebrate Halloween with some frightening treats for our heroes during a new event: Overwatch Halloween Terror!”. Here’s the dozen you’ll get to choose from; Ana, Bastion, Hanzo, Junkrat, Mercy, Pharah, Reaper, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Soldier: 76, Symmetra, and Zenyatta. The only catch is that they now cost three times the normal price, which is meant to prevent players from blowing all of their gold in one go. The trailer announced the event, which is live now, and will conclude on November 1st.

In leiu of the Halloween season, Blizzard will be working on 100 Halloween themed items for each character of “Overwatch”.
