Dallas Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott is expected to have an immediate impact on the team this season, and according to him, the job description of running back is easy compared to other occupations.
Elliott’s availability for Friday’s game against the visiting Miami Dolphins (8 p.m. ET) is uncertain.
Elliott only participated in individual drills. “I haven”t missed any games,” Elliott said. “The hammy didn’t tighten up or anything so I feel ready to go”.
“With this injury, you’ve got to be patient”, Elliott said. In the traditional “dress rehearsal” at Seattle on August 25. It’s possible he plays in the Cowboys’ second preseason game, but we expect the team to be cautious with him so he doesn’t suffer a setback. “He praised the play of quarterback Dak Prescott in the preseason opener, said he had “one of the easiest jobs in America” running behind arguably the league”s top offensive line and feels opposing defenses will have to “pick their poison” with the Cowboys” boasting multiple offensive weapons. “It’s kind of different going out there and going live, I haven’t had any live settings yet since I played in college. So I think I need to get some of those reps”.
Elliott (hamstring) is closing in on his first appearance of the preseason, which may take place Thursday at Seattle, the Dallas Morning News reports. “I just have to knock a little rust off and finally back to work”.
