Forgotten Watson? Clemson’s QB Lost in Jackson Hype

FILE- In this Saturday Sept. 24 2016

The No. 5 Tigers lately have started to look more like the College Football Playoff contender they were expected to be prior to the season, but Heisman Trophy front-runner Lamar Jackson and No. 3 Louisville present a whole new challenge.

Victor of Louisville/Clemson – Right now, it’s either the Cardinals or the Tigers who are going to be the odds on favorite to win it all. Kickoff for the heavyweight ACC bout is set for 8 p.m. I think people are thinking Clemson is going to play great tonight with the emotional advantage at home. A win by Louisville over Clemson would essentially give coach Bobby Petrino’s team a two-game lead in the Atlantic Division and cross off the biggest hurdles in conference play. If U of L takes the ACC title, the Cardinals might just be playing in college football’s final four. Cardinals attack ranks first nationally in overall offense and scoring offense, third in rushing and 10th in passing.

Perched atop the hill Saturday night, Swinney said his team will embrace the moment. “I mean, I’d have preferred to have had it their way”. His play making ability will be on view for the world to see.

Clemson has a defense that could prove up to the task. Last week Marshall held Jackson to 62 yards rushing but allowed 400 yards and five touchdowns through the air.

The key to Louisville’s defense imposing its will upon another big-name ACC Atlantic opponent will be its pass rush.

The home team Clemson Tigers feel like they are getting overlooked this season. He has great instincts and can be very physical. We have done our homework on this game, and ready to make a pick. Louisville travels down to Clemson with control of the ACC on the line. Although they’re an FCS program, he seems to be coming on now. “We respect him, but we’re not afraid of him”. Ranked number one in the country in offense.

Herbstreit said most locations he is unaware of what is happening behind him, but at Clemson the video board is at an angle where he can see it.

“Seeing them do the things they’re doing so far, it’s insane the numbers they’re putting up”, Ferrell said. If their GameDay signs were any indication, they can barely wait for the action to get underway. “It’ll show how good we are”. Here’s the quandary Clemson coordinator Brent Venables finds himself in.

You can listen live commentary of this game on internet radio and live score will be available at NBC sports. There’s only so much you can do. You can pay just for card like credit card, PayPal account, Payoneer Master card, Moneybookers, etc. Clemson will make it a good game but in the end, Louisville comes out on top 31-24. The other was three years ago when No. 3 Florida State took on the Tigers, who were No. 5 at the time. Clemson’s defense knows how to bring pressure and it resulted in 13 sacks, 38 tackles for loss and totaled 157 lost yards. As a competitor, on our defense, everyone’s eager to play. They’re going to move a lot of guys around.

The quarterback duel between Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson is going to generate most of the pregame hype.

The resumés of both Watson and Jackson speak for themselves. Get it? Anyway, here are the Games to Watch matchups that could figure out who’s stronger moving forward. Deshaun Watson was the talk of the off season but right now it’s Lamar Jackson.

But he hasn’t put up big stats this season. Deshaun Watson threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns in 32-for-48 passes. And Clemson hasn’t exactly been impressive, struggling to wins over over Troy and Auburn. GameDay was in Clemson previous year, for Notre Dame vs Clemson.

The first thing that stands out about Watson is his arm strength.

“These are the type of games you relish having the opportunity to be a part of”, Swinney said. “We’ve got to do what we do”. This week is the big test in front of a national audience.

“We love it”, UofL defensive tackle DeAngelo Brown says. We wanted to win. This game will be a huge matchup and have a huge impact on the college football playoff. “It’s gonna be fun”.
