A fugitive in Florida has been arrested for changing his Facebook profile picture to a wanted poster with his mug shot on it. Yearwood also commented on his own profile picture.
“Facebook is a great way to communicate and connect with old friends and family”.
At the time this post was written, the Facebook profile picture was still accessible.
Stuart police responded to a battery complaint Monday night, and when they arrived at the scene, suspect Mack Yearwood wasn’t there anymore, per WPBF. Using this, they were easily able to identify which Mack Yearwood social media account belonged to their suspect and began looking at the profile in earnest. “The cops use Facebook now!”.
“At least they won’t come get me in Tennessee.”
On Tuesday, officers found and arrested Yearwood in Palm Beach County.
Stuart police said that while he was being taken into custody, he asked to put on a pair of jeans, which were on the floor.
Yearwood was arrested on the open warrants from Citrus County and a marijuana possession charge.
Yearwood was already wanted for violating the terms of his probation in a battery case, FOX 29 Palm Beach reported.
It is unclear whether he has obtained a lawyer and he is being held at the Martin County Jail. Police then arrested Yearwood at his brother’s house on Tuesday in connection to those warrants, one of which was issued in Citrus County.
They charged him with possession of cannabis under 20g and are continuing to investigate the battery complaint.
