The security has been beefed up on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on Thursday across the nation. “Idu’l Fitr marks the culmination of the Holy Month of “Ramzan”, a month of prayer, blessings and forgiveness”, he tweeted.
Attired in traditional robes, Muslim brethren gathered at mosques and Eidgahs in the city early morning to offer “namaaz”, marking the end of month-long Ramzan.
In Delhi, main Eid congregations are being held at the Jama Masjid, Fatehpuri Masjid and Shahi Eidgah.
Historic Sarkhej Roza mosque also saw good number of Muslims congregating to offer prayers.
Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis greeted people on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
