Eddie Lacy is injured; should you add James Starks?

“We’re still evaluating some things“, McCarthy said before practice.

Packers running back Eddie Lacy isn’t practicing today, and it’s unclear if he’ll be ready to go against the Cowboys Sunday. On the other hand, Manning’s quarterback rating was actually better than Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers.

They couldn’t quite figure out whether to attach the superlative “elite” to his name.

Take away the mistakes, and the offense improves.

On the ensuing play, which is above, Aaron Rodgers threw a short pass to Starks, the ball came loose, and the Packers recovered. “And actually live, as well”.

As seen during the earlier games, Starks struggles a bit on the field.

“I’m thinking Eddie is going to be OK this week”, Rodgers said.

“There has to be a sense of urgency”, Manning said. The veteran cornerback, who played three games with the Rams this season after four years in Tennessee, “jumped in with both feet” today at practice.

Eversoll: Yes. If you’re a kicker and you’re not making kicks, then they should find someone who will.

Manning was not helped by his offensive line against the Packers and certainly his three top receivers haven’t produced the way many expected them to. The second-year player shoved an ESPN reporter in the locker room after Sunday night’s game.

It’s easy to look at Rodgers’ statistics from afar and conclude he’s the problem.

“We had a good night running the football”. That’s a great thing. But the Packers were able to hold Eli Manning to 199 yards yards passing, which was a huge factor in the win.

“Got folded up like a lawn chair”, Cobb said, via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. That speaks volumes to the depth in the secondary, and it might bode well for Gunter, specifically, getting more playing time moving forward. That’s all led the Giants to having the 27th-ranked scoring offense in the league through five games. “I understand that. I understand I have to play at a higher level”.

For those following the Raiders, who might move to Las Vegas, we have a second consecutive week in which the Silver and Black do not appear on local TV. Despite limited playing time, it was clear to anybody watching the game that Adams needs to be on the field more often. McCarthy did not say whether Shields, still in the concussion protocol, would be able to practice at all this week. Offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett and quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt have not expressed any concern about Rodgers’ passing.

Is he healthy? “I feel good physically”, he said. Numerous passes were dropped and others were errantly thrown. “I just have to make the throws”. Those guys shouldn’t be anxious about me, either. “Some tendencies may change and we’ll see how the game goes”. “We knew it was going to be a challenge”. Teams that ignore the run to this extent tend to lose, even in the pass-laden National Football League of today. We need points, we need to score touchdowns. I’ve always thought they were capable of getting to the nine wins it’ll take to get to the playoffs and maybe win the division. So this is a process.

Doing anything he can to get the ball back to the offense was the only thing that was on Collins’ mind.
