Factory-backed Nissan to make Australian GT debut

Yes, servicing and consumables are never cheap, and Nissan still enforces six-month/10,000km intervals, but Japanese workmanship including a Takumi hand-built engine mean the GT-R is likely to stand up to torture fairly well.

“It’s great to confirm that the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 will be making its Australian GT Championship debut”, said Nissan Motor Co.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO makes its first appearance on United States soil for performance fans.

Interested customers can pre-order their 2017 Nissan GT-R by paying a deposit of INR 25 lakh (2.5 million INR).

The Hampton Downs event will be a first for both drivers; it will mark Caruso’s race debut aboard a GT-R GT3 vehicle, and will be the first time that Blancpain Endurance regular Simmons will compete in an Australian series… even though it won’t actually be in Australia. “GT-R represents the pinnacle of Nissan’s driving performance and this latest model has become even more powerful and luxurious”, Nissan India Operations President Guillaume Sicard said. The upcoming GT-R is being referred to as the biggest change that the GT-R has ever had, ever since its original introduction in 2007.

The GT-R is powered by Nissan’s state of the art 3.8-litre V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine that produces 570PS at 6800 rpm and 637Nm of torque.

The 2017 GT-R was revealed at this year’s New York International Auto Show in March. “We are proud to offer this legendary sports auto to Indian performance vehicle enthusiasts”.

The new Nissan GT-R is expected to cost about Rs 1.5 crore when it makes it to India and will be available in seven colors including the brand new Katsura Orange which was launched in 2016 specially for this edition. 2017 GT-R presents a pile of modifications of its earlier version that emphasis on luxury, comfort, and refinement instead of additional finishing.
