Alienware Announces New Gaming Laptops with GTX 10 Series Graphics

Anyway, Frank Azor, general manager of Alienware and XPS, Dell, said in a statement that as Alienware brought unbelievable resolutions and technology 20 years ago, the new lineup of the fantastic Alienware gaming laptops was a product of that history. The company mentioned the new keyboard’s additional 2.2mm of travel, but the keyboard I had time with felt almost identical to its much-loved predecessor. The latest entrants to this series unveiled by the company are all VR-ready – the refreshed Alienware 13, Alienware 15, and Alienware 17.

Chris Sutphen, the senior marketing manager at Alienware, even confirmed that following the release of Nvidia’s new GPUs, the new lineup of Alienware gaming laptops rolled out.

The notebook features a chassis made of anodized aluminum and magnesium with steel reinforcements and copper. The Alienware 17 notebook has overclocked Intel Core i7 K series processors and DDR4 memory at up to 2667 MHz. The Alienware 17 however comes with the option for a built in Tobii’s eye tracking camera. It allows gamers to fine tune their skills with a new Overwolf app that can replay your gaze pattern so gamers can track where they were looking during gameplay; gamers can then learn from their mistakes and be sure to focus their attention on the best opportunities to crush the competition. However, both the 17 and 15-inch models can be configured with quad-core Core i7 chips, up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage plus two battery choices – 68 Watt-Hour or 99 Watt-hour for serious play when away from a power outlet.

You can also wake the device up just by looking at the Alienware logo.

The benchmarks of the gaming laptops also showed an 85 percent performance boost when compared with the previous Alienware generation. “Coming standard with a 15.6” FHD, IPS Anti-Glare, 300-nits display, additional options include FHD 120Hz display with NVIDIA G-Sync, synchronized frame rates and UHD IGZO for 4k resolutions.

The Alienware 13 is the smallest notebook in the range, however Alienware state that with its configurable “Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-Series graphics, this aggressive design will offer one of the most compact VR-ready devices ever”. The Alienware 13 will launch in November.

This system also enables the computer to power down or dim its lights when the user looks up or away from the screen.

United Kingdom pricing and distribution is yet to be announced but Alienware’s latest range of gaming notebooks looks set to provide strong competition in a booming market.

The Alienware Graphics Amplifier can be purchased now for 9.99 at Dell. The Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved Monitor (U3417W) takes the benefits of curved, ultra-wide screens even further with a more immersive viewing experience; it is flawless for going deeper into gaming action with extended peripheral vision and 18W speakers for a cinematic experience.
